2022 Washington DC Youth Tour

Wells Rural Electric Company places a high priority on improving the communities we serve. One of the ways we try to accomplish that goal is by providing support and opportunities to area youth.

Each summer, WREC takes students to statewide youth leadership conferences in Idaho and Utah.  Students who participate in either of the statewide leadership conferences are invited to apply to attend the NRECA’s Washington, D.C., Youth Leadership Tour the following summer.

Washington DC Youth Tour Application

More than 1,500 students from all across America take part in the Youth Tour experience each year, and so can you! Travel to Washington, D.C., where you will meet your U.S. Representatives and Senators. This unique trip will give you the opportunity to watch history come alive as you explore the museums, memorials and monuments with students from your state. The 2022 Youth Tour is scheduled for June 13-20.
