Apply to the Next Dollar Foundation for community improvement project support
How can you help improve your community? If you have an answer to that question, WREC’s Next Dollar Foundation co help turn your idea into a reality. All you have to do is visit our Next Dollar Foundation page and fill out a short application detailing your idea.
By taking advantage of the power of community, the Next Dollar Foundation invests in worthwhile projects throughout the service territory to help improve the quality of life for us all.
Whether it’s putting lights around the high school football field, providing educational grants for deserving students, or helping buy medical equipment for local clinics, the
Next Dollar Foundation has made a difference in northeastern Nevada for decades.
It works like this: Every member’s monthly bill is rounded up to the nearest dollar, and the Next Dollar Foundation gets the spare change. WREC can then match those cents with nonreturnable capital credits specifically for community improvement. While each member contributes less than $12 per year, the cumulative effect is powerful.
All WREC members are automatically enrolled in the Next Dollar Foundation. The funding each member provides is earmarked for use in the community where their service is.
If you’re looking for inspiration, here are a few of the ways the Next Dollar Foundation has helped improve our communities:

We encourage you to make one of your ideas a reality by filling out an application.
