As part of Wells Rural Electric Co.’s (WREC)’s ongoing maintenance program, cooperative operations personnel will be switching out approximately 450 meters in Carlin to newer, upgraded models. Work will start at the beginning of September and extend into early October. Members affected will be notified by phone approximately a week in advance. Switching meters will require a one-time outage lasting a couple of minutes for the service connected to each meter while the physical work is completed.

WREC is providing advanced notice so that members are aware that cooperative employees will be on-site switching the equipment. Due to COVID-19 and our commitment to protect the health of our employees and members, please do not approach employees while they are working.
