Northwest Lineman College WREC Internship program
This internship is designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career in line work. This program is intended to increase knowledge and understanding of electric cooperative companies. Northwest Lineman College offers three separate 15-week programs each year. The internship may occur during any one of these programs per calendar year. This internship does not guarantee full-time employment with Wells Rural Electric Co., nor does it offer placement services. It is, however, a wonderful opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the industry.
Applications must be sent to Northwest Lineman College no later than May 9. Qualified applications will be forwarded to The Wells Rural Electric Co. apprentice committee, who will award an internship to an applicant meeting the minimum requirements listed on the application. The selected applicant will receive $2,500 to apply toward program fees, with an additional $2,500 awarded upon successful completion of the program. Must be affiliated with Wells Rural Electric Co.
